Meet The Doctors

Dr. Sapna Thakkar attended the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she graduated magna cum laude and with prestigious thesis honors. In order to obtain an advanced education, Dr. Thakkar completed a rigorous general practice residency at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York. This intensive program at one of the busiest level 1 trauma centers in the country provided advanced training in implantology, endodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, prosthodontics and dental/maxillofacial trauma. Upon completion of her advanced dental education, Dr. Thakkar and her husband transplanted to North Carolina in 2016, where she began treating patients of all ages in private practice.

Dr. Thakkar strives for clinical and technical excellence while providing personal superior patient care in a comfortable environment. She places great emphasis on patient education and prevention of dental disease through meticulous examination, diagnosis and treatment planning . Dr. Thakkar’s professional memberships include the American Dental Associates, the North Carolina Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Thakkar highly values continuing education and attends multiple courses each year to keep up with the technical advancements.

Outside the office, Dr. Thakkar is normally spending time with her husband and three year old daughter. She also enjoys reading, painting, cooking and outdoor activities
